Woodworking Workshops for Women

Weekend classes in the fundamentals of furniture making, using time-honored joinery, taught in a supportive shop environment with a maximum of 12 women.

-Learn to use traditional woodworking hand tools; chisels, dovetail saws, bench and block planes, drills.

-Make mortise and tenon joinery with foxtail wedges and dovetail joinery.

-Develop the skills and understand the process of building furniture with traditional joinery. 

Debey Zito, a professional furniture maker who has who has been designing, building and teaching furniture making for over 40 years, is the instructor.
