The design process is a collaborative endeavor between clients, architects, contractors and craftspeople that relies on respect and open communication. Our years of experience in design, furniture making, carving, and remodeling, gives us an understanding of various materials such as wood, metal, textiles, tile and their uses, both traditional and innovative. Through this experience we can create and clearly convey design concepts with other craftspeople and architects.

One of the most important aspects of our work is the challenge of honing our clients’ aesthetics and daily needs into an interior that embraces both. Whether the project is a new home or a remodel, finding this balance is always the goal.

Our first design instinct comes from the natural world, complex and varied, yet harmonious. We bring color, texture, repetition, scale and jewel points to create interiors serene, rich and alive. While our designs rarely adhere to any particular period, both aesthetically and in the use of materials, our deep understanding of historical styles still informs our visions.
