Point Reyes Kitchen
The siting of this Point Reyes home led the design of the client’s kitchen, dining room and living room. The wavy glass tile backsplash, the Douglas fir cabinets, the American Clay plaster walls, and color palette of the banquet fabrics and concrete countertop, all harmonize with the view of Tomales Creek and the wetlands beyond.

The clients collect natural and handcrafted art, so we designed a vertical shelf with curved sides for display. The banquet side has the curve as well.
To keep the kitchen feeling open glass was used in the upper cabinets. For practicality, obscure glass was used. The blue green color of the concrete countertops with the waves in the glass backsplash reflect the creekside setting.
The beauty of Tomales Bay is framed by the casement windows.
The cushions bring the colors of the wetlands outside into the room.
The banquette side has the same curve as the display shelf. The entire base opens for storage.
